olive oil popcorn

Friday nights sometimes call for simple, comfortable classics.  Yep, worn in jeans, old running t-shirts, a movie, your husband, the dog, a comfy loveseat, and popcorn.  Nothing fancy, but all comfort.

This is a favorite recipe in our house.  It's super-simple and is often just what we need.  Especially on comfy movie night Fridays.

Here's an easy, healthier version of the popcorn classic.  There are so many options are out there, but tonight we just kept it simple.

Olive Oil Popcorn
  • Plain popcorn (we used between 1/4 c and 1/2 c plain yellow popcorn)
  • Sprinkle of olive oil
  • A chookie chookie of salt or seasoning (oregano, basil, or salt-free spice mix)
Pop your popcorn (we used an air popper, but a bag of plain popcorn would work too).  Sprinkle it with olive oil, tossing it to distribute it evenly.  Add salt or seasoning to taste.
