oatmeal cookie smoothie


It's true.  I've got a new addiction...Oatmeal Cookie Smoothies.  They taste like the real deal, but they're made with healthy-ish things like oats and bananas.  We've been making smoothies for years, but this new discovery has worked its way into my week WAY too many times already.  I may or may not be sipping it as I type.  But, it's so good!  So, so good!

Puree the following ingredients in a blender for one very large or two small glasses of liquid cookie:



Oatmeal Cookie Smoothie

Ingredients: 
-1/2 c. rolled oats
-1/4 c. flax meal (found in the baking or health food aisle)
-1 small banana
-1 c. vanilla soymilk (regular milk would work for the non-lactose-intolerant among us, but it would probably require some sugar and vanilla to make it match the original)
-1 glob of peanut butter
-3 or 4 ice cubes

  1. PS: Try freezing the banana in bite sized pieces and skipping the ice cubes...it's my favorite!
